George Anthony King, 70, died at Mercy Hospital, Fort Dodge, Thursday, Feb. 17. Funeral services were Saturday at 9 am. Sacred Heart Church, Boone. Burial was at Cumming, Ia., St. John's Cemetery. A resident of Boone, he is survived by two brothers: Thomas of Columbia, Calif, and Eugene, Indianola, Ia.; two sisters: Mrs. Marie McKinley, Ames, and Mrs. Ben Baldus, Eagle Grove. Born in Madison County, Iowa he attended country school near Winterset. He farmed until 15 years ago and worked on construction for nine years. He retired six years ago. Rosary was held Friday at 9 pm. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Mr. King was a member of Sacred Heart Church at Boone. He was preceded in death by one brother and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas King, who were former residents of Rotary Ann Home.
