Doris Lee Janson, the daughter of Paul Kenneth and June Josephine (Duitscher) Janson, was born June 14, 1952, at Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1970 and Iowa Central Community College in 1972. Doris worked as a manager for the Iowa Liquor Department for 10 years, as an advanced operator at Electrolux in Webster City for over 25 years and most recently for the Eagle Grove Golf Course. She enjoyed gambling, singing karaoke at the Smoke Shop, golfing and was a loyal Iowa Hawkeye fan. Doris also enjoyed traveling with her friends, but her biggest joy was when her family all gathered at the family home here in Eagle Grove for holidays and family celebrations. Doris will be remembered for always having a smile on her face and sharing a good laugh with over a beer.

Doris passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at her home in Eagle Grove at the age of 66 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wayne Janson; brothers-in-law, Jerry Reinsel, Lynn Mulholland and Marlyn Strebe and a sister-in-law, Nancy Janson. Survivors include her siblings: Wilma Reinsel of Webster City, Skip Janson of Cambridge, IL, Linda Mulholland of Duncombe, JoAnn Grimm (Paul) of Solan, Paul Janson (Sue) of The Dells, [The Dalles] OR, Janice Strebe of Kyle, TX and Dennis Janson of North Onawanda, NY; several nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Goldfield prior to the services. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Sara Sutter officiating. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
