Jessie Marie Breining, 87, Greenwood, [Indiana] died at 10:10 pm Saturday May 21, 1983 in the Community Hospital Indianapolis. Born July 7, 1895 in Dows Iowa, she was the daughter of Raymond W. and Edith P. (Miller) Birdsall. She was married Dec. 24, 1916 to Walter A Breining who died May 8, 1950.

A 50-year member of the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Breining had lived in the Indianapolis area more than 50 years. She served as house mother at Tau Kappa Epsilon and Sigma Nu fraternities at Butler University and was the resident manager of the YMCA in Indianapolis for 13 years retiring in 1971.

Surviving are one son Raymond B. Breining of Carmel, a daughter Mrs. B. R. (Barbara) Davidson of Rt. 1 Kokomo, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 2:00pm Thursday at McKee Chapel of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church Indianapolis with the Rev. Robert Healer officiating. Friends will be received by the family from 1 to 2 pm in the reception area of the church before the services. Burial will be at a later date in Williamsport, Pa.
