Nellie Spitler, 95, Webster City, died Jun 19, 1995 at the Southfield Care Center. Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Friday at the Graceland Cemetery with Ray Artrip officiating. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home one hour prior to the graveside service.

Nellie Eva Whiteman, daughter of Van and Mary Jane Hart Whiteman, was born November 14, 1899 in Renwick. At the age of five, she moved with her parents to Webster City. She was educated in the Webster City schools. She married Irvin Kleckner and the couple resided in Webster City. She had been employed at the shoe factory. The couple later divorced. On Sept 16, 1934 she married Floyd Spitler in Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City. She had been employed at Selby's and Fairmont's. Her husband died in 1957. She then was employed at Middleton's until 1962, when she retired.

She is survived by daughters, Sharyn Anderson, Webster City; Audre Weldon, Oklahoma City, OK, sons Marvin Kleckner and Richard Spitler both of Webster City; Van Darrell Kleckner, Lake Oswego, OR.; stepson James Spitler, Dayton; 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson and two great-grandsons, She was a member of the Church of Christ in Webster City.
