Obituary of Mrs. O. B. Wyman
Loretta Lucretia Coffin was born in August, 77 years ago within five miles of Albany N. Y. She was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Coffin. At the age of eight years she came with her parents to Dyersville, Iowa. From there they moved to a farm north of Bradgate. Over 50 years ago she was united in marriage to Osgood Bradley Wyman. One child, Mabel, was born to this union. She died at the age of two years. After their marriage by Justice Dickey of Humboldt they lived near Rolfe for four years then they moved to a farm near West Bend, then they moved to Rutland where they remained for six years. They moved to Eagle Grove in 1881 where they have since lived except for two years which were spent in Alden. Mr. Wyman has been in the employ of the C. & N. W. railroad since coming to Eagle Grove where he has remained until his honorable discharge. He served as brakeman. Mrs. Wyman was a member of the Auxiliary of the B. of R. T. and also of the W. R. C. as her husband served as a soldier in the Civil War.

Mrs. Wyman was a member of the Methodist church for many years. She came to the local church by certificate from Rutland and joined here under the pastorate of Rev. J. W. Southwell. Five years ago she was taken to Cherokee because of failing health. She passed away in the hospital in Cherokee early in the morning of July 9, 1930.

She is survived by her aged husband, who makes his home with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Clark and two cousins, Mrs. Ruth Merchant and Albert Coffin of Bradgate. Funeral services were held in the Foll & Wilson funeral parlors on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The sermon was preached by W. G. Muhleman, pastor of the M. E. church. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery [Eagle Grove, Iowa].
