Funeral Services Are Held for Pioneer Resident of Wright.Belmond, Aug. 7. - Funeral services in charge of the Rev. S. U. Leinbach were held yesterday afternoon at the home of Michael Henry Luick, farmer of Belmond township. He was born Jan. 22, 1844 and received his education in a school conducted by Isadora Fisk, the first school teacher in Wright county. In 1804 [sic] he bought 40 acres of his present farm, to which he has added. On Oct. 18, 1864, he was married to Sarah J. Baker, and to this union three children were born; Adelbert, who lives on a farm adjacent to that owned by his father; Minnie, who made a home for her father since Mrs. Luick died, and Mrs. R C. Bras, Minnesota. One stepson, J. D. Baker, is left. Mr. Luick belonged to the Methodist church and was an Odd Fellow and a Mason more than 50 years.
