Funeral services for Diane Leigh Hanson, 20, of Humboldt will be held at 2 PM Saturday at Rutland Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in the East Ullensvang Cemetery at Thor. An 8 PM prayer service was held Friday at Lindhart Funeral Home. Rev. Marcus Engelhardt will officiate at the service. Casketbearers will be Ronnie Grebner, Rev. Dennis Hanson, Randy Kraft, Blake Lehman, Brad Lehman and Curt Lehman. Ushers will be Russell Giddings and Don Madsen. FLower committee is Mrs. Gilbert Nelson, Mrs. Harold Vosberg and Mrs. Vernon Faltinson. Organist will be Mrs. Dorothy Isaacson.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hanson of Rutland; a sister Mrs. Jim (Sue) Jennings of Bradgate; brothers, David, Independence, MO; Jim, Singapore; Grandmothers, Mrs. Ruth Hanson, Rutland, and Mrs. Frieda Lehman, Eagle Grove.

Diane Hanson was born March 30, 1961 at Fort Dodge and attended school in the Twin Rivers School District, graduating from Twin Rivers High School in 1980. While she was in school, she was a member of the Chi Centra Singers of Bode. Since graduating from high school, she has been employed at the Humboldt Care Center North. She died Wednesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, where she was taken Sunday afternoon, by Life Flight helicopter following a one car accident north of Rutland.

Rutland woman dies of crash injuries

Diane L. Hanson, 20, of Rutland died at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines Wednesday of injuries she suffered in a traffic accident Sunday. Hanson was injured in a one-car crash on a Humboldt County road North of Rutland. Authorities said she lost control of the car and was thrown out when it overturned. Hanson was taken to Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, then was transferred by helicopter to Iowa Methodist.
