(Cena) Martha Sara Olson Nelson, daughter of Martha and Paul Olson was born near Eagle Grove, on August 28, 1878. She was baptized in infancy and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Thor, Iowa. In 1913 she was united in marriage with Christian Nelson by Pastor Gortholm at Clermont. All the years following her marriage were spent in and around Elgin and Clermont. Preceding her in death were her husband and their three infant sons, her parents and one sister and brother. Surviving are three daughters, Myrtle, (Mrs. Robert Howard of Chicago), Selma (Mrs. Milton Schiarholz of Luana), and Clara (Mrs. William Belschner of Arlington), ten grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. She passed away at the home of her daughter Selma, on Nov. 7 at the age of 81 years. Services and interment were held at the East Clermont Lutheran Church, Rev. John Kronlokken officiating. Pall bearers were William Nelson, arthur Nelson, Millard Nelson, Joe Nelson, Millard Rear and George Hanson.
