Jennie Louise Jergensen, daughter of Hellick and Josephine Larson, was born on October 20, 1892 at Holmes, Iowa and died December 15, 1972 at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove at the age of 80 years, one month and 25 days. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert G. Jergensen; her parents; three sisters: Mrs. Carrie Distad, Mrs. Hazel Larson, Mable Larson and one infant brother; one grandson and one great grandson.

She was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Holmes and attended schools near Holmes; High School in Eagle Grove and Ellsworth College. On the 8th of March, 1911 she was united in marriage to Albert G. Jergensen. To this union seven children were born: five daughters: Gertrude, Helen, Bette, Virginia and Phyllis; two sons, Norman and Harley. They spent several years farming near Goldfield, moving to Bricelyn, Minn, in 1943. The past ten years were spent in Eagle Grove, first making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Helen Coltvet, and the past three and one half years at the Rotary Ann Home.

Mrs. Jergensen had been in poor health for several years. In the years she spent at Rotary Ann Home she was very patient even though confined to the wheelchair and bed.

She leaves to mourn her passing five daughters: Mrs. Lenard Cameron, Osage; Mrs. Helen Coltvet, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Duane Anderson, Goldfield; Mrs. Boyd Myers, Swalesdale; Mrs. Lloyd Erdal, Fairfax, Minn.; two sons: Norman Jergensen of Bricelyn, Minn., and Lt. Col. Harley Jergensen of Topeka, Kan.; 29 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one brother, Louis J. Larson and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Hanson, both of Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Marvin L. Dooley in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
