6 August 1903 ---- 20 October 1982

Edward Alfonso Everhard, the son of Alfonso and Louise Mosbach Everhard, was born on August 6, 1903 at Whittemore, Iowa. He attended the St. Michael's school and was baptized in the St Michael's Church at Whittemore. On June 15,1927, he was married to Helen C. Zinnel of Otteson in the St. Paul's Church at Whittemore. To this union were born five sons. The family lived at Whittemore, Cylinder and Emmetsburg. In 1945, the family moved to a farm in the West Bend Rodman area. From 1949 to 1967, they lived on various farms in the Ledyard, Bancroft and Leland areas. Mrs. Helen Everhard died in 1966. Edward moved to Eagle Grove in 1967. He was married to Ethel Klooster on July 1, 1972 at Garner, Iowa. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove. Mr. Everhard died of an apparent heart attack on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1982, at his home in Eagle Grove. He attained the age of 79 years, 2 months and 14 days.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel of Eagle Grove; his sons, Harvey of Beloit, Wisc; Raymond of Fort Dodge; Junior of Clarion; Leo of Eagle Grove; LeRoy of Albert Lea, Minn.; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen; two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 23, 1982 at 1:30 P.M. at the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. Rev. Mark S. Kastner, church pastor, officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation was held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home on Friday.
