August 6, 1869 ---- August 7, 1918

The remains of Matt Eike were buried in Rose Hill cemetery last Saturday beside those of his wife, who preceded him in death about fourteen years ago. Mr. Eike worked for Ben Cowan in the meat market for a number of years, and then started a shop of his own, but his efforts were not crowned with success and he moved from here to Clarion, and of late was employed in the round house there. He is survived by two daughters, Fern and Sybble, who have made their home with Mrs. John Johnson, of this city, and by one son Leo, who is now in the service.
