Corey W. Grossnickle, 36, of Fort Dodge, died March 4, 2017. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Visitation is 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Cremation rites will follow the service and interment services will take place at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.

Corey is survived by wife Tara; daughter Gabriella O’Brien; stepchildren, Brittni Miller, Tanner (Sarah) Miller (and daughter Sophie); Christian Miller; mother Debra Miller; step-father Steve Miller; sisters, Alicia Miller (niece Milah), Lauren (Shane Hollingshead) Miller; grandparents, Darrel and Sandy Grossnickle; Loren and Euvon Miller; father-in-law and mother-in law Terry and Karen Wheeler; along with aunts, uncles, cousins and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by father Bill Kolacia, grandmother Shirley Grossnickle, uncle Barry Grossnickle and cousin Tony Grossnickle.

Corey William Grossnickle was born May 22, 1980, in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge Senior High and Iowa Central Community College. Corey was employed with Advance Drainage Systems in Eagle Grove and Van Diest in Webster City. On March 31, 2015, Corey was united in marriage to Tara Wheeler Miller in Fort Dodge.

Corey enjoyed fishing and taking his annual fishing trips to Bowstring, Minnesota. He enjoyed working in the garage, especially on the 1971 Duster he was restoring. Corey also loved his dog Daphne who has reunited with him.
