Janice Elaine (Hanus) Lalor, the daughter of Emil and Lorraine (Kepler) Hanus, was born on October 3, 1951, in Webster City, Iowa. She was raised in Webster City and Eagle Grove. On January 10, 1975, Janice was united in marriage with Gary A. Lalor in Eagle Grove. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove where Gary was the 3rd generation to own and operate Lalor Construction and Janice was active in the family business for many years.

Janice also worked at Rotary Ann, Lewrights Meats, Dodger Manufacturing and bartended at the "109". She volunteered for the Eagle Grove Fire Department for many, many years and also served as a firefighter for 15 years.

Janice loved spending time with her grandkids, riding motorcycles, gardening, being a firefighter, the Iowa Lottery and scratch tickets!!!

Janice passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, surrounded by her family and friends, at the age of 66 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gary in July 2016 and granddaughters, Amanda Jo and Adaya Jean Lalor. Survivors include her sons, Donavon Lalor and wife Mallory of Eagle Grove and Gary Lalor and wife Sally of Eagle Grove; daughter Ashley Lewis and husband Adam of Goldfield; 13 grandchildren: Kayla, Nathan Anderson, Dawson, Emma, Piper, Shelby, Carson, Reid, Macie, Alexis, Aleshia, Alaura, and Ava; brother, Billy Hanus (Julie Dyer) of Eagle Grove; sisters, Nancy Hill of Eagle Grove and Patsy Lindstrom and husband Tony of Webster City; numerous other family members in Webster City and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jason Cooper officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
