MISS ANDERSON IS KILLED IN CAR ACCIDENT
Well Known Goldfield And Eagle Grove Housekeeper Is Killed Instantly Friday, Nov. 16

Funeral services for Jessie P. Anderson, 64, were held in the Kastler Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Robert R. Kessinger of Goldfield officiated. Burial was in the Goldfield cemetery. Miss Anderson was killed instantly in an automobile accident northwest of Webster City last Friday evening, Nov. 16. Hamilton county Sheriff E. R. Lear reported that the car had apparently started to make a turn on the gravel road when it plunged into the ditch nosing over with the car falling on Miss Anderson. The car was driven by Orin Short, Webster City farmer. He was accompanied by Miss Anderson and his two sons Gary and Bob. Mr. Short was not injured but the two sons were taken to the Hamilton county hospital for emergency treatment. Mrs. Short was in the Hamilton county hospital recovering from an operation. Miss Anderson had been keeping house for the family while Mrs. Short was absent. They were on their way into Webster City to visit Mrs. Short when the accident occurred.

Miss Anderson had lived in Goldfield most of her life. She came to Eagle Grove about 15 years ago. She was a practical nurse and professional housekeeper. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Clyde Westbrook of San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. C. D. Meyer of St. Paul, Minnesota; Mrs. C. R. Freeman and Mrs. Lillian Durocher of Des Moines. One brother Millard also of Des Moines.
