October 8, 1882 ---- May 10, 1906

Rebecca Anderson was born near Goldfield, Iowa, Oct. 8, 1882. She grew to young womanhood in this immediate vicinity, living here the greater part of her life. About ten years ago she was taken sick and was never free from illness up to the time of her death. She was a quiet, unassumming, kindly, girl who endeared herself to her acquaintances and left many friends. It was her last request that the Rebecca Lodge and other friends should receive her thanks for their many acts of kindness during her last sickness. Rebecca died at her home in Goldfield, Thursday May 10th, 1906, aged 28 years, 8 months and 2 days. She was the oldest of a family of ten children and the first to be taken away. The funeral services were held Saturday in the Methodist church, Rev. Hoelscher in charge and the remains laid to rest in Glenwood cemetery.
