The entire community was shocked and saddened by the death of Miss Jennie Anderson, which occurred on Sept. 7. She had been ill of peritonitis for about a week, but her condition was not considered serious until the day before her death. She was brought home on the noon train from Spirit Lake, where she had been employed during the summer and passed away about twenty minutes after reaching home. The funeral was held in the M. E. church Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. R. Cuthbert. She was born near Goldfield, Sept. 11, 1887 and died Sept. 7, 1911. Practically her entire life had been spent in and around Goldfield, where she had hosts of friends. The sincerest sympathy of every heart goes out to the bereaved family.
