January 15, 1893 --- March 5, 1949

Otto Anderson, 57, of 2243 East Fourth street, a longtime employee of the John Deere Waterloo Tractor works, died at 8 p. m. yesterday in Veterans hospital, Des Moines, after a long illness. He was admitted to the hospital Feb. 2. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Jennings, 2243 East Fourth street, with whom they made their home; a son Donald, 306 Reber avenue; two grandchildren; two brothers, Millard, Des Moines, and Chris, Goldfield, Ia., and five sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Freeman, Des Moines, Mrs. Lillian Durocher, Des Moines, Mrs. Harriet Meyers, St. Paul, Mrs. Elizabeth Westbrook, San Antonio, Tex, and Miss Jessie Anderson, Eagle Grove, Ia. The body is to be taken to O'Keefe & Towne funeral home, where arrangements are pending. Mr. Anderson was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church.

Funeral services for Otto Anderson, 57, of 2243 East Fourth street, who died Saturday in Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Catholic church, with Rev. Msgr. E. J. Dougherty, pastor, officiating. Military services at the grave in Calvary cemetery will be conducted by members of Becker-Chapman post, American Legion. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday in O'Keefe & Towne funeral home.
