Charles A. Kepper Funeral Friday A. M. At Sacred Heart

Charles Adam Kepper, 75, died Tuesday evening at Mercy hospital, Ft. Dodge where he had been a patient for a few days. He and his wife had recently moved to the Rotary Ann Home but he was there just a few days when he suffered a stroke. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock at Sacred Heart Church in charge of Rev. Francis Phelan. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Rosary will be recited at the Kastler Funeral Home Thursday night at 8:00.

Mr. Kepper is survived by his wife, three sons, Henry and Edward of Eagle Grove, Charles of Tulsa, Okla. and one daughter Mrs. Eileen Tegland of Rockford, Ill. He is also survived by six grandchildren, one brother John Kepper of Fargo, N.D. and one sister Mrs. Mary Huffman of British Columbia. He was a former employee of the Chicago and North Western R.R. and retired as machinist.

Charles Keppers, the son of Matt and Joanah Keppers, was born on Dec. 17, 1888, in Hamilton county, Webster City. He died Feb. 4, 1964 at a Fort Dodge hospital following a week long illness. At the age of 15 he moved with his family to Everly, Iowa. Later the family moved to Morton, North Dakota, to farm. He was united in marriage to Mamie Bohney on January 17, 1913 and they lived there for three years. He and his family returned to Eagle Grove where he spent the rest of his life. Mr. Keppers was employed by the Northwestern Railroad from 1917 to the time of his retirement.

Mr. Keppers is survived by his wife, three sons Henry of Eagle Grove, Edward of Eagle Grove and Charles Jr. of Tulsa, Okla , one daughter Mrs. Leonard (Eileen) Tegland of Rockford, Ill., and six grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother John of Fargo, North Dakota, and a sister Mary Hoffman of British Columbia. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart Catholic church Feb. 7th with Rev. Francis Phelan officiating. Interment was in the Calvary cemetery.
