Viola Margaret Finn Kepper
9 April 1907 ---- 26 January 1995

Viola Margaret Finn was born April 9, 1907, the daughter of David and Catherine Sullivan Finn, at Goodell, Iowa. She attended school in Goodell and graduated from Belmond High School. She enrolled at Drake University, graduating with a Bachelor's in Science degree in education.

She was united in marriage to Henry J. Kepper on December 26, 1940 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Xavier. She taught school in Ventura, Allison, and Renwick communities and before her retirement in 1972, had taught in the Eagle Grove School System for over 40 years. They continued living in Eagle Grove and in January of 1994 she entered the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove.

Viola Margaret Kepper died at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home on Thursday, January 26, 1995. She had attained the age of 87 years, 9 months, and 17 days. Survivors include her husband, Henry Kepper of Eagle Grove; son, H. Michael Kepper and wife Marcia of Castleberry, Fla.; daughter, Sheila Vonder Embse and husband Charles, Worthington, Ohio; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers Joe, Leo, and Raymond; and four sisters, Julia, Marie, Lillian, and Veronica.

Viola Kepper was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove, the Catholic Daughters of America, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Iowa State Education Association.

Funeral services for Viola Margaret Kepper were held on Monday, January 30, 1995, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove. The Reverend Wayne Droessler officiated the 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection and burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements
