Hans Christian LARSON
Hans C. Larson, 84, died Christmas day in Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge, where he had been a patient for five days. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Evangelical Lutheran church with the assistant pastor W. E. Carlson officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
Mr. Larson made his home with his son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Strait on South Cadwell Ave [502 S. Cadwell]. Mr. Larson is survived by three sons, Marion of Norwalk, James of Hollywood and Robert of Whittier, all in California, and four daughters Mrs. Jack Benoit, Hollywood, Fla., Mrs. Strait of this city, Mrs. Wm. Phipps of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Mrs. Richard Hopfinger of Coronado, Calif. Twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother Nels Larson of Britt and one sister Mrs. A. E. Spangler of Eagle Grove.
Mr. Larson was married in March of 1907 to Mable Gunderson. They farmed in Iowa and Minnesota until 1937 and moved to Eagle Grove at that time. He lived in Ohio for eighteen years, and Mrs. Larson died in 1941. He has since lived in Eagle Grove.
