IVA EUNICE ZINSER
Iva Eunice Peters was born October 12, 1901, at Ruthven, Iowa, the daughter of George and Minnie Eaton Peters. She was educated in Renwick schools, graduated from Colorado State Teachers College, Greeley, Colo., and taught school at Ault, Colo. Iva married Floyd A. Zinser of Storm Lake on June 11, 1924 at Renwick. They established their home near Goldfield, where they farmed, before moving into Goldfield where Floyd operated the Standard Oil Bulk Station for 12 years. They owned a grocery store in Goldfield until 1949. They later moved to Eagle Grove, where they again operated a grocery business. He also served as the assistant Wright County Assessor before his death on May 1, 1965. Iva was a member of the Holmes Baptist Church. Iva has made her home in Eagle Grove since her husband's death.

She had been in ill health for several weeks, and was visiting in Memphis, Tenn., where she died at Baptist Hospital East, on March 27, 1989, at the age of 87 years, six months, and 15 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Lola Jacobs; and two grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Kenneth, Rochester, Minn.; two daughters, Carol Maxwell, Memphis, Tenn.; and Mrs. John (Dona) Goltry, Greeley, Colo.; two sisters, Ruth Bordeleau, Seattle, Wash.; and Mrs. Archie (Hazel) Fertl, West Bend; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Iva E. Zinser were held on Friday, March 31 at 11 a.m. at the Holmes Baptist Church in Holmes, Iowa. Pastor Patrick Nemmers officiated, and burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
