John Francis Deimerly, 81, of Clarion, died Sunday, January 2, 2000, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 5th at St. John's Catholic Church in Clarion. Father Ray Burkle officiated the 10:30 a.m. service. Burial was in St John's Catholic Church Cemetery, Clarion. Willim Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

John Francis Deimerly was born June 1, 1918, in Wright County, the son of Sebastian and Anna O'Neill Deimerly. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth. John was united in marriage with Mary Rogerson on February 17, 1942, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove. They made their home and farmed on the family farm south of Clarion, where they currently reside, after 58 years.

He enjoyed playing cards and enjoyed nature and animals. He had a great love for the land, the farm was his life. John was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Clarion.

John is survived by his wife, Mary; seven children - John T. and wife, Karen of Lakeville, Minnesota, Jerry and wife, Nancy of Cumming; Thomas and wife, Becky of Marshalltown, Kathleen Ahrens and husband, William of West Des Moines; Patrick and wife, Kathy of Clarion, Mary Newman and husband, Kevin of Des Moines, Dale and wife, Kim of Clarion, 15 grandchildren, one great grandchild and one brother - Raymond Deimerly of Clarion. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
