Dean Wesley Myers was born on May 19, 1897, in Benedict, Nebraska, the son of John W. and Nettie Grobe Myers. He was a Navy Veteran of World War I. He was married to Margaret Taylor in Clarion on October 15, 1951. He started M & M Livestock Products Company in 1943, and moved to Eagle Grove in 1949. He moved to the Branson, Mo., area in 1978. He graduated from York High School, York College, and York Business College, all of York, Neb. He was a member of several Masonic Orders, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Elks Lodge.

Dean Wesley Myers, of Point Lookout, Mo., formerly of Clarion, died last week at the age of 100. Survivors include his wife, Margaret T. Myers of Point Lookout, Mo.; two sons, James D. Myers and wife. Betty, York, Neb., and Richard D. Myers, Bemidji, Minn.; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Thursday. March 12, 1998, in the Williams Memorial Chapel at the College of the Ozarks. Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 14, 1998, at 11 a.m. in the Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. Whelchel Funeral Chapel, Branson, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
