Bernice Lorene Russell was born November 21,1916, at Auburn, Iowa, the daughter of Everett and Esther Frederick Russell. She received her education in the Auburn and Sac City schools. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Larson of Sac City on September 15, 1937, at the Christian Church in Sac City. The family lived in the Sac City area for a time, near Webster City, Williams, and Woolstock for a time before moving to Eagle Grove in 1951.
Mrs. Larson died at her home in Eagle Grove on Wednesday, April 10, at the age of 57 years, 4 months, and 19 days. She is survived by her husband, three sons: Larry Larson, Webster City; Ray Larson, Des Moines; Eugene Larson, Des Moines; one daughter, Carmen, Mrs. Joe McKinney, Webster City; three brothers, Dean Russell, Knoxville; Floyd Russell, Iowa City; Ernest Russell, Torrance; four sisters, Mrs. Everett McBride, Upper Marlboro, Md.; Mrs. Melvin Kruskop, Lytton; Mrs. Merle Siebrecht, Arthur; and Mrs. George Hartley, Battle Creek; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 13, at 2 p.m. in the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home. Rev. H. W. Schiller, Pastor of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
