Joyce Ann (Penfield) Hambleton, 78, died peacefully Nov. 19, 2017 after a long life filled with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joyce, born to John and Bernice Penfield, April 2, 1939 in Clarion, Iowa, married William Darwin (Dar) Hambleton of Guthrie Center, Iowa. They soon moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, then Colorado Springs, Colorado. Joyce was a stay at home mom to raise her 7 children, often taking them shopping. Joyce loved to do crafts with her kids and sew clothes for them. Joyce loved babies, so as the grandchildren came along she was thrilled! She contributed to every child’s life in big and small ways. Joyce and Dar moved back to Iowa for a time, then to Wyoming, California and Arizona. She even lived in Alaska for a while with granddaughter Stormie. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Joyce leaves behind her brother Gary Penfield of Casper, Wyoming, her 7 children: Alison (Hambleton) Youngberg of Casper, Wyoming, Kerrie (Hambleton) Cutter of Prescott, Arizona, Rob Hambleton of Mariposa, California, Brian Hambleton of Moreno Valley, California, Scott Hambleton of Stirling City, California, Bill Hambleton of Stirling City, California and Marc Hambleton of Flagstaff, Arizona, 24 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents John and Bernice Penfield, her husband Dar Hambleton, and her brother Steve Penfield.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Paradise, California, date still to be set. The family plans to meet in Guthrie County, Iowa at Mockingbird Hill Cemetery in the spring 2018 to lay to rest Joyce with her husband Dar, by their parents.
