February 25, 1925 -- June 6, 1994

Truman G. Stelloh, 69, of 326 South 24th St., died in Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, on Monday, June 6, 1994. He was born Feb. 25, 1925, in La Crosse to Fred and Clara (Staff) Stelloh. He graduated from West Salem High School in 1942. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1942-1945. He received his B.A. from Luther College and his M.A. from the University of Iowa. He married Jeanne Gilbertson on July 9, 1949. He was the director of Health and Physical Education for the Battle Creek, Mich., public school system for 25 years before his retirement in 1987. He and his wife returned to La Crosse in February, 1994. He had been active in church, school and civic organizations.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Joanna Stelloh of Battle Creek, Mich. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Bruce Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Dickinson Family Funeral Homes Jackson Street Chapel.
