Wesley Parks Sr., 88 of Hampton, Iowa died Friday (October 10, 1986) at the Hampton hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton, with the Rev. Richard Nissen of the Hansell United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, Osage. Visitation is after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Parks was born in Leland, Ill, on April 8, 1898 to Mr. and Mrs. William G. Parks. He came to Hampton in 1936, and worked for the U.S. Post Office in Hampton, retiring in 1965. He also was active in the Hampton Fire Department for 15 years.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Anne Marchellino, Hampton: five sons, Morris, Donald and Stan, all of Hampton, Wesley Jr, Sheffield, and Eugene, Charles City: a stepson, Bernard Higgins, Mountain Prairie, Calif.: 12 grandchildren: 12 great-grandchildren: and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Kuns, Hampton, and Mrs. Ruby Whipple, Belmond.
