6 August 1872 ---- 28 May 1950

Funeral services for the late William G. Parks were held at the Werner Funeral Home, Bloomer, [Wisconsin] at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. B. J. Talledge officiating at the funeral home and at Forest Hill cemetery at Chippewa Falls where interment was made. During the service, Dale Babbitt as soloist sang three selections. Pallbearers were Fred Tealey, John Sheffield, Ed Shipman, Orville Skaw, Frank and Lloyd Knipfer. The services were largely attended and the floral tributes were many. A large number of Chippe... for the service there. Out-of-town relatives attending were sons Wesley of Hampton, Iowa; Shirley, Clarion, Iowa; and Daughter Mrs. Ruby Whipple of Mason City; Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Zahner of Cornell and Kenneth Billmyre of Sampson.

[In the spring of 1901, William and his first wife, Sarah Matilda (Wilson) Parks and family came to Wright County, Iowa from Illinois and located in Norway Township, where they resided on a farm until March 1912, when they removed to Clarion. Sarah died in 1913 in Clarion.]
