Robert Richard Sherrard, Sr. of Childress, Texas, passed away from pneumonia, he was 87 years old. Born to Willam Robert and Agnes (Larson) Sherrard in Boone on Sept. 29, 1930. He married Elsie Lavonne Robertson in Belmond on Sept. 27, 1952. He is survived by Bill Sherrard, Clarinda, Robert Sherrard Jr., Boone, David and Christy Sherrard, Boone, Sandy Sherrard, and Don Ely, Boone, Roxanne Sherrard, Boone. Also 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. He married Penny (Moorman) Sherrard on Dec. 24, 1995. He also has many beloved nieces and nephews. He served in the Korean War and worked for the state of Iowa Road Crew for 24 years until retiring. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Agnes (Larson) Sherrard, his sister, Sister Mary Helen Sherrard BVM. Services willl be at the Open Bible Church in Boone. 1224 Hancock Dr. Nov. 11, at 2 p.m.
