Leonard Mickelson, 82, of Duncombe died suddenly at his home on October 19, 2017. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 23 at Washington Lutheran Church with the Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Interment will be held in Washington Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Leonard Lee Mickelson, the youngest son of Clifford and Serena (Anderson) Mickelson, was born June 5, 1935. He graduated Duncombe High School in 1952. On April 22, 1961, he was united in marriage to Norma Tokheim. The couple raised their family and farmed in Duncombe. Leonard enjoyed time spent outdoors whether it was fishing, gardening, yard work or farming. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Norma; his children and their families, son Dan (Nancy) Mickelson of Woolstock, grandchildren Bradley Mickelson, Ryan (Erin) Mickelson and their children Carter and Bailey; daughter Jody (David) Propst of Lehigh, grandchildren Miles Propst (fiancé Emily Chapman) and Amanda Propst; his brother Paul (Patsy) Mickelson of Lehigh; his sisters-in-law MaryLou, Shirley and Betty. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Selmer (Norma), Donald, Richard and Robert and an infant sister. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed towards the American Cancer Association or to Washington Lutheran Church.
