Funeral services for Cecil Lovelace, 55, former Webster City resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Robert Scott officiating. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Lovelace died recently at Denver, Colo., where he had been making his home for the past several years.

Cecil Lovelace, son of Louis and Mary Lovelace, was born Feb. 4, 1902, on a farm in Wright county, near Clarion. He was two years old when he moved with his parents to Webster City. He attended the Webster City schools and was at one time a member of the National Guard company in this city.

He was united in marriage to Thelma Downs and to this union two daughters and four sons were born: Mrs. Ray (Arlett) Parrish, Waterloo; Mrs. Bob (Peggy) Knutson, Moline, Ill.; Donald and Arnold Lovelace of Webster City; Jerry Lovelace, Iowa City, and Jack Lovelace, with the army stationed in Colorado; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Mary Butler of Webster City; one brother, Louis Lovelace of Webster City, and one sister, Mrs. Gerald Williams of Williams, Iowa; two half-brothers, Gale Butler of Woolstock and Gilbert Butler of Webster City. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Chester.
