Services were held for Mrs. Fred (Kate) Blau, June 4, 1974 at Meservey Reformed Church, with Rev. H. Oppermann officiating. Interment at Immanuel Reformed Church Cemetery. Fulton Funeral Home in charge.

Kate Koenen Blau was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Aeiko Koenen Dec. 26, 1896 at Latimer, Ia. She attended the rural schools. She was a member of the Meservey Reformed Church. Survivors are her husband, Fred, four sons, William, Clear Lake, Aeiko, Sheffield, Kenneth, Goodell, Frederick, Meservey, one daughter Mrs. Marvin (Esther) Borchardt of Rock Falls, Ia. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren. Mrs. Blau was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 6 brothers.

Casket bearers were Theo Dirks, Klemme, Dale Frohling, Thornton, Merle Frohling, Herman Koenen, Sheffield, Virgil Koenen, Alvin Smit of Meservey.
