Memorial services for Fred W. Blau, 82, who passed away at Oak Ridge Manor Nursing Home in Clear Lake were Sept. 26, 1974 at 1:30 at Meservey Reformed Church. Rev. H. Oppermann officiating. Burial in the Immanuel Reformed Church Cemetery. Fulton Funeral Home in charge.

Fred William Blau was born July 11, 1892 at rural Belmond, to William and Catherine Walters Blau. He attended rural schools at Belmond. He was a member of the Reformed Church of Meservey. He was preceded in death by his wife [Kate Koenen Blau], one son Kenneth, three sisters and one brother. He is survived by William, Clear Lake, Aeiko, Sheffield, Frederick, Meservey, one daughter Mrs. Marvin (Esther) Borchardt, Rock Falls, two brothers George and Theodore Blau of Belmond, and one sister Minnie Blau of Belmond.

Casket bearers were Theodore Dirks, Dale Frohling, Merle Frohling, Virgil Koenen, Alvin Smit and Merlin Ruiter.
