Obituary -- Etta Mae Powell Leyson. Born in Shabonna, Ill., married there and farmed there with husband Herbert F. Leyson and also in Sutherland a few years. Moved to Eagle Grove where Herbert F. was employed as a railroad engineer. He died June 19, 1900. Mrs. Leyson came to Milford and lived with her son and family from 1935-1953 when she went to Sutherland and was cared for in the Mrs. Harriet Reiste home until she became seriously ill and was brought to the Lundblad Nursing Home in Milford where she passed away July 23, 1955 at the age of 91. Funeral services were held at the Leyson Funeral Home. Burial at the Waterman Cemetery in Sutherland.
