Mrs. Lela Bruswitz Funeral Held Monday

Mrs. Lela Bruswitz, 79, died Friday afternoon at the Askvig Nursing Home where she had been a
patient for the past 5 weeks. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Kastler Funeral
home in charge of Rev. Dale Brown. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Bruswltz is survived by 3 children, Clifford Thebiay and Mrs. Lowell Bilney of Los Angeles, Calif., and Bernard Thebiay of Burbank, Calif., also a granddaughter she raised in her home, Mrs. Francis Johnston of this city; one brother Frederick Waddell of Huron, SD. and one sister Mrs. Florence McKinney of Glendale, Calif.

Those attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Bilney of Los Angeles, Calif.
Mrs. Orma Polmateer, Orville Sadler, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Claude O'Connor, Jewell: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Waddell, Ames; Mrs. Chas. Iles and daughter, Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Middleton,
Webster City; Mrs. E. C. Bilney, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Tibbetts, Estherville.

Mrs. Lela Bruswitz died Friday afternoon at the Askvig Nursing home where she had been a patient
for the past five weeks. Mrs. Bruswitz was born Feb. 15, 1877, at Eagle Grove and was one of 13 children of Mr. and Mrs. John Waddell. She was united in marriage to Adolph Thebiay, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Thebiay of Eagle Grove in 1902. Six children were born to this union, 3 of whom are living, Clifford Thebiay, and Mrs. Lowell Bilney of Los Angeles, Cal. and Bernard Thebiay of Burbank, Calif. Mrs. Bruswitz was preceded in death by her husband in 1919 at LeMars, where they made their home at that time. After the death of Mr. Thebiay the family returned to Eagle Grove. Late in life she was united in marriage to Herman Bruswitz of Eagle Grove, who also preceded her in death. She is also survived by one brother Frederick Waddell of Huron, S. D. and one sister, Mrs. Florence McKinney of Glendale, Calif.
