Irene Elizabeth Bruswitz Pixler

July 2, 1913 --- June 26, 1992

Irene Elizabeth Bruswitz was born July 2, 1913, at Eagle Grove, Iowa. She received her education in the Eagle Grove School System and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1931. She married Richard Boyle of Convington, KY, on August 20,1934, at Des Moines, IA. They were divorced in 1939. Irene later married O. A. Pixler of Eagle Grove, on April 30,1949, at the Congregational Church in Eagle Grove. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove. Osburn died on Aug. 13, 1960.

Irene worked for various area businesses including Wilson's, Morton's, and Webster City Products, in Webster City, Iowa.

On June 26, 1992, Irene passed away at the Clarion Community Memorial Hospital, Clarion, Iowa. She had attained the age of 78 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Mrs. Merlyn) Malaise of Eagle Grove, and Linda (Mrs. Harold) Malaise of Spencer, Iowa. One sister, Jessie Bruswitz of Des Moines, Iowa, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Bruswitz, a grandson, Darren Malaise, great grandson, Chad Greenley, and great granddaughter, Amy Loux.

She was a member of the Eagle Grove Senior Citizens.

Funeral Services for Irene Elizabeth Pixler were held on June 29, 1992, at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. The Reverend Scott C. Hall officiated the 2 p.m. services, and burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
