Death of Babe by eating tablets
Sad Death of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Hopkins' Little Girl Baby

Climbing upon the sideboard by means of a chair, little Alice Hopkins reached and obtained a few tablets and, child-like, put them into her mouth, resulting in her death within an hour's time. It was all done in a few moments and when her mother had left the room for but a minute. A physician was promptly summoned, but by the time he arrived it was too late to give the desired relief. The child was but a year and a half old and was a bright attractive girl. It happened last Friday afternoon at about five o'clock. Funeral services were held on Monday from the Baptist church and interment was in Rose Hill cemetery. Rev. G. L. Hart spoke very tenderly to the grief-stricken parents. The blow is indeed a very severe one but the sympathy of their many friends and neighbors is theirs in full measure.
