Mrs. M. Insel Died Monday

Mrs. Maggie Insel, 73, died at her home on South Commercial Ave. Monday afternoon about four o'clock. Mrs. Insel had been ill since the previous Wednesday when she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock from Sacred Heart church in charge of Rev. Thos. Mulligan. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

When a small child the family moved to Webster City where she spent her girlhood days, and it was also there she met and married W. F. Insel. They moved to Eagle Grove soon after their marriage, and for many years Mr. and Mrs. Insel operated the Occidental Hotel. When they retired from the hotel business they moved to their property on So. Commercial. Mr. Insel died March 18, 1938.

Mrs. Insel is survived by three sisters, Miss Nellie Sullivan and Mrs. R. H. Ash of Webster City and Mrs. Julia Sullivan of Waterloo. The latter was unable to be present at the funeral on account of ill health. Another sister of Mrs. Insel, Mrs. G. D. Welch of Lincoln, Neb., died last June. Miss Sullivan and Mrs. Ash, also two nieces, Mrs. Dunham and son, Jack, of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Miss Ruth Welch of Lincoln, Neb., were here from out of town for the services.
