LINTON, Iowa -- Private services for Sylvia Payne Haskins, of Clinton, will be 1:30 p.m. today at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. A private visitation will be held for the family. Mrs. Haskins died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999, at her home. She was a telegrapher with Bomber Command at High Wickham outside London. She was born March 8, 1920, in Sussex, England. She married Lee Haskins in 1946 in Eagle Grove. He died July 16, 1999. She was a veteran of the Royal Air Force in England during World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Sue Johnson, Fulton, Ill.; a son, Michael Haskins, Biloxi, Miss.; two granddaughters; two step-granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
