Neva M. Gustafson, daughter of John and Lucinda Hann was born in Goldfield, Iowa, January 4, 1874 and passed away in Eagle Grove, Iowa, October 20, 1943 at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 16 days. She was married on July 20, 1891 to William B. Thompson of Webster City and the young couple set up housekeeping on a farm in Cass township, Hamilton county. To this union five children were born, Goldie, LeRoy, Guy, Levere and Lytle. She was married to D. B. Griffith of Eagle Grove on May 1, 1901. One son, Otto was born to this union. On June 7, 1924 she was married to John Gustafson of Eagle Grove and since that date they have resided in this city. She was preceded in death by William B. Thompson and D. B. Griffith, also two children, Guy Thompson and Otto Griffith. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Stamp, Odd Fellows Home, Mason City, and Mrs. Lawrence Johnson, Goldfield, Iowa. As a lifelong resident of this vicinity, she has for many years been a member of the Rebecca Lodge and has the distinction of having had sons in the first World War and grandsons in the second.
