Grace May Henderson, the daughter of John and Mattie King Henderson was born May 21, 1912 at Bradgate, Iowa. She attended school at Bradgate, Iowa. On December 30, 1930 she married Louis Cupp of Gilmore City at Fort Dodge. They lived in Gilmore City, Bradgate and Clarion before coming to Eagle Grove in 1953. Mr. Cupp died in 1974. Mrs. Cupp died at her home on Saturday, November 13, 1976 at the age of 64 years, five months and 22 days. Survivors include one son, Stanley Cupp, Myrtle Creek, Oregon, two daughters, Virginia (Mrs. William) Mintun, Vincent, Shirley (Mrs. Mark) Holtan, Storm Lake, one brother, Floyd Henderson, Phoenix, Arizona, two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Williams, Des Moines, Mrs. Edna Madsen, Bradgate, and 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Louis. She was a member of the Samuel Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Priscilla Circle and a longtime church financial secretary. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 16 at 2 p.m. at the Samuel Lutheran Church, Eagle Grove. Rev. Orville Sanderson officiated and burial was in the Ullensvang Cemetery, Thor.
