Deborah A. Carden, 57, of Webster City formerly of Germansville, PA passed away on Wednesday July 18, 2012 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Arrangements are currently pending and have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Deborah A Carden, 57, of Germansville, Pennsylvania, was able to fulfill her wish of returning back home to Iowa. She died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. Burial will follow at the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Asbury United Methodist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Deborah Ann Carden, daughter of Richard L. & Betty A. Nail Carden (Broshar) was born October 31, 1954 in Webster City. She attended schools in the Duncombe and Webster City areas, and graduated from Webster City High School in 1972. In 1974 she began her career with Air Products & Chemicals in Fort Dodge, Iowa. On August 10, 1974 Debbie met and fell in love with Chuck Crider. As her career progressed she transferred to offices in Omaha, Chicago, and in 1993 ended up at Air Products Home Office in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Debbie was the first Team Lead of the centralized customer service center (SPOC) supporting Air Products customers in North America and was instrumental in its creation in 1993. She was the manager of the first Customer Master Data team in 2001. Debbie traveled to several different countries to perform training and support. She was the Process Support and Training Lead when she retired in June, 2011 due to her health. The documentation and presentations she created during her career continues to be used for training employees around the world.

Those left to carry Debbie's memories in their hearts are her husband, Charles Crider of Germansville, Pennsylvania; mom and step-father, Betty & Floyd Broshar of Clarion; brother & sister-in-law, Dean & Vicki Carden of Duncombe; sister & brother-in-law, Diane & Dennis Richardson of Webster City; sister-in-laws, Sheryl (Stan) Parrish of Webster City, Marge Kay Nichols of Des Moines, Charlene Harrison of Missouri, Lucille Peterson of Oregon, Thelma Stevens of Nebraska; aunts & uncle, Ethel Samuelson of Duncombe; Robert & Sondra Carden of Webster City; nieces & nephews Lori (James) Kolbeck, Randall (Michelle) Carden, Jennifer (James) Rossing, all of Webster City; Joshua (Kara) Richardson of Slatington, Pennsylvania; Jonathan Richardson of Cedar Falls, Matt (Amy) Parrish, Angie (Barry) Parrish-Youngdale both of Webster City; her great nephews & niece, the 8 reasons why she loved being Aunt Debbie! Parker, Gage & Dylan Rossing, Casey & Cody Kolbeck, Camden & Josslyn Carden & Sam Youngdale; special cousins Judi & Tom Crosley of Arizona & Jaime (Malasan) Crosley of California. Debbie was preceded in death by her dad, Richard Carden; grandparents, Ward & Aileen Carden & John & Bertha Nail; niece & nephew Carrie & Richie Carden; brother & sister-in-laws Terry & Judy Crider; uncle Donald (Sam) Samuelson and her aunts Helen Nail Bernard & Ruth Nail.

Debbie loved playing cards and spending time with her family. Even though she was over a thousand miles away, she made it back home to Iowa, for special occasions & to spend extra time with her family at Christmas. Growing up she loved riding horses & the memories of helping her dad farm on the family farm. She also enjoyed plastic canvas needlepoint creating special projects for her family. Debbie was a member of the Breast Cancer Action Team and Duncombe United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School and Youth Group Teacher.

Memorials received by the family will be given in memory of Debbie to the Paula J. Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge. They can be mailed to Diane Richardson, 1404 College St, Webster City, IA 50595.
