Beverly I. Fisher died on Monday, September 30, 2002, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa, at the age of 79. Survivors include her children: Richard Fisher, Jr., and wife, Brenda, Roland, Iowa, Kathleen Boots, and husband, Larry, Mason City, Iowa, Susan Fisher, Clarion, Iowa, JoAnne Anselme and husband, Darrell, Ankeny, Iowa; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Lenning, and husband, Glen, Humboldt, Iowa, and Marilyn Prew, and husband, Leonard, Sterling, Ill.; and one brother, David Jones, and wife, Janet, of Eagle Grove, Iowa. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Richard, in 1991; and three brothers, Robert, Donald, and Jerry Jones.

Beverly Irene Jones, the daughter of Orville and Ruby (Uhr) Jones, was born on January 26, 1923, in Eagle Grove. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Eagle Grove High School. She was united in marriage to Richard H. Fisher on December 18, 1941, at Princeton, Mo. The couple returned to Eagle Grove, before moving to a farm north of Holmes, Iowa. They later relocated near Dows, Iowa, before making their home in rural Dumont, Iowa, in 1959. In 1991, she moved back to Eagle Grove. She worked as a Nurses Aide at the Hampton Care Center for over 20 years. She was active with the Eagle Grove Senior Citizens Center. Funeral services were held Friday, October 4, at 1 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
