Elliott Hill died Wednesday, October 2, 2002, at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion, Iowa, at the age of 84. Survivors include his wife, Helen, Eagle Grove, Iowa; children: Larry Hill, and wife, Patti, Milwaukee, Wis., Terry Hill, and wife, Suzie, Rubicon, Wis., Mary Hill, Pocahontas, Iowa, Randy Hill, and wife, Maria, Eagle Grove, Bob Hill, and wife, Kathy, Eagle Grove, Rick Hill, Eagle Grove; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and two sisters, Donna Hill, Stanton, Neb., and Reba Hill, North Platte, Neb. Preceding him in death were his parents; five brothers; and three sisters.

Elliott "Ike" Hill, (the son of Ira and Elizabeth (Olmstead) Hill, was born on March 12, 1918, in Stanton County, Neb. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth, graduating from the Stanton High School in 1934. He was united in marriage to Helen Shaw on December 31, 1941, in Stanton, Neb. They lived in Stanton County for a short lime, then moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa. He worked for Boone Valley Coop, Umthun Trucking Company, and Geise Construction, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Monday, October 7, at 10:30 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
