Steven Charles Johnson, 58, formerly of Thor, passed away March 31, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 7th, at the Northlawn Cemetery Chapel in Fort Dodge with the Rev. Darryl Landsverk officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Steven was born April 22, 1958 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Harold and Patrilla (Ridgely) Johnson of Thor, Iowa. Steven was born mentally challenged. He lived at Home, Northwoods Living of Fort Dodge and lastly at Woodward Resource Center in Woodward, Iowa. Steve loved music (especially Johnny Cash), dancing and taking walks outside. After having surgery on his neck he could no longer do these things but still enjoyed his music. He has been wheelchair bound for some years but still was a very happy little soul.

His father; his grandparents; and his aunts and uncles preceded Steve in death. Survivors are mother, Pat Johnson of Humboldt; sister, Nita Fedkenheuer of Fort Dodge; brother, Ron (Marlene) Johnson of Humboldt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
