Mrs. C. L. Bent Called
The friends of Mrs. C. L. Bent were greatly surprised to learn of her death on Sunday morning, as few knew of her illness. She had been ill but three weeks, when death resulted from heart trouble, she having passed quietly during the early morning hours. Constance Hickman was born in Newporte, Ky., on February 7, 1875, being 59 years, 10 months and 9 days of age at the time of her passing. The family came to Clarion nearly fifteen years ago, during most of which time Mr. Bent was employed in an official capacity with the Chicago Great Western. In addition to the husband, C. L. Bent, one daughter, Constance Bent Smith, survives. Mrs. Bent was a good wife and mother and found much comfort in her home. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the residence, being conducted by Rev. Fred Lebort of the Congregational church. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery.
