Floyd M. Myers, 78, of Stratford, Iowa passed away at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames on Wed. evening, May 10. He was born July 31, 1899 in Hamilton County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Myers and on March 26, 1918 he married Amelia Elizabeth Nolte at Clarion, Ia. Floyd was on the police force in Stratford and farmed in the Stratford area several years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia in 1972, his parents, one brother and two sisters. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Neil (Patricia) Sturtz of Stratford; Mrs. Denzel (Arlene) Hatfield of Isle, Minn., and Mrs. Reuben (Deloris) Newholm of Kansasville, Wisc.; two sons, Arnold of Wolferine, Mich., and Delbert of Mason, Mich., 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Mrs. Jane Moore of Hampton, Iowa, Mrs. Edith Carpenter of Webster City and Mrs. Alberta Kennedy of Willow Springs, Missouri.

Services were held Sat., May 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the Calvary United Methodist Church with Rev. Leland Eyres officiating. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery and Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
