Vivian H. Eversz was born July 2, 1896, at Eagle Grove, Ia. the daughter of Louie and Daisy Eversz. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School with the Class of 1915, and attended Business College in Milwaukee, Wisc. She was united in marriage to Walter P. Kagle of Chicago, Ill., on Dec. 24, 1921, at Eagle Grove. The couple lived in Minneapolis, Minn. five years; Oskaloosa, Ia. five years; and Chicago, Ill. for 25 years. They came to Eagle Grove to make their home in 1955. Mrs. Kagle had been in ill health for some time, and passed away at the Heritage Home, Clarion, Ia. on March 25, at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 23 days. She is survived by her husband, and one brother, Lowell Eversz, California. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Kagle was a member of the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove. Her father was a stone cutter for the Dodge and Baker Monument Co. of Eagle Grove, formerly located where the Ellsworth Freight Lines Office is now located. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 29, at 2 p.m. in the Kastler - Babcock - De Young Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Forbes officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
