Kenneth D. “Fuzz” Burk, age 90, of Norwalk, died peacefully Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Good Samaritan in Indianola. A celebration of life service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29th with a visitation with the family beginning at 9:00 a.m. Memorials to Healing Hearts with Horses Therapy in Runnells, Iowa will be accepted and can be left at the funeral home. Kenny the son of Charles and Cora (Kubly) Burk, was born on April 27, 1926 in Renwick, Iowa. He attended school in Renwick and enlisted into the United States Navy at age 17. He served his country honorably during World War II serving in the Pacific Theatre. Following the war he returned home where he met Marjory Harris of Humboldt, Iowa. They were married on April 10, 1949. To this union they were blessed with four children, Susan, Mary, Thomas, and David.

Kenny co-owned and operated with his brother, Therman, Burk Brothers Mobil, a gas and service station in Renwick. Kenny and Marj moved to Norwalk in 1980 where they bought a farm near Norwalk. Up until 10 days ago he was up in the combine reminiscing. Kenny enjoyed horseback riding [and being a Cowboy], bowling, stock car racing, and camping. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his horses: Blaze and Sarge, and all of his dogs: Skipper, Smokey, Pippy, Toby, PP, King, Lady, Sam, Queeny, and many more.

He is survived by his wife, Marjory of Norwalk; Sue Collins of Norwalk; Mary (Tim) Graves of Cedar Falls, Thomas (Audrey) of Garfield, Arkansas; and David (Loretta) of Norwalk; a nephew, Robert (Dorothy) Burk of Sunset, Texas; 13 grandchildren: Brad, Craig, Stacy, Brody, Ashley, Taylor, Keaton, Melanie, Stephanie, Mari, Jeremy, Erin, and Matthew; and many great-grandchildren.
