December 7, 1875 ---- December 18, 1958

William Clayton Hathaway, 83, of Eagle Grove, Iowa, died December 18, 1958, leaving his wife, Maude, a son, Clayton of Duluth, Minnesota and four sisters to mourn his loss, Mrs. Ada B. Nelson of Beresford, South Dakota; Kate Hathaway of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Myrtle Allinson of Los Angeles, California; and Mrs. Hala Larson of Spencer, Iowa.

Mr. Hathaway grew to manhood in Harlan, Iowa, went to work for the Northwestern Railroad in 1898, with headquarters at Eagle Grove, Iowa which has been his home. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in October. Funeral services were held December 23, 1958, with burial at Eagle Grove.
